Autism: Diagnosis and Evaluation. T.K. Brasted
On 2/23/2019, T.K. Brasted, HopeCentral’s Director of Behavioral Health, shared an overview of Autism, including the disorder’s signs, associated conditions, and the evaluation process. He leads HopeCentral’s autism diagnostic evaluation team and supports the physicians in the delivery of behavioral health services within the context of primary care. Dr. Brasted is also a member of the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council.

MCHAT-R Focus Groups for Vietnamese Parents
VFAAB is currently in the process of forming focus groups. The purpose of this focus group is to evaluate and adapt a Vietnamese language version of the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, Revised (Vietnamese MCHAT-R) for cultural and language appropriateness. We need your help! This opportunity is a great way to meet other members of the Vietnamese community, to congregate together and improve the screening process for Vietnamese children.
Focus groups will last for 2.5 hours and each participant will receive a thank you gift of $50 for their time. Childcare and refreshments will be provided. If you are interested in taking part in this focus group. Please contact Swee May Cripe at
