Physician Training CME Kick-Off Dinner

We are proud to announce that VFAAB will be sponsoring CME opportunities for medical providers in early 2019 to better understand the diagnostic, referral and “after diagnosis management” system for children with development delay. Please join us on November 9, 2018 at 6pm at Tamarind Tree Restaurant for an introductory CME dinner and presentation sponsored by Seattle Children’s Autism Center.

This presentation will target providers who care for patients within the Vietnamese community. Topics included:

* How to communicate to parents who have concerns
* Appropriate screenings and measures
* Referral information and how to seek a diagnosis
* Available therapies including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
* Overview of unique challenges for the Vietnamese community
* Information on resources available from the Vietnamese Family Autism Advisory Board (VFAAB)
* Upcoming training opportunities in January from VFAAB
* Q&A with Seattle Children’s providers and VFAAB members
